The Club Professional, Ian Taylor, is a fully accredited member
of the PGA of Australia. Having attained the PGA’s highest
rating in all its practical and academic divisions including
teaching and club fitting.
Although born in Sydney, Ian has spent most of his life in
Perth. Following the completion of his schooling, he worked
for several commercial entities where he gained experience in
business techniques including finance and accounting.
During this period his sporting activities
included reaching “A” grade
standard in Cricket and Hockey and playing “A” grade
pennants for the Nedlands Golf Club in Perth. His love of the
game prompted him to seek qualification as a Golf Professional
and to make the game his career.
Following the attainment of his qualifications, he obtained
positions as a Teaching Professional initially in Perth. He
later traveled to Holland where he gained further experience
of Teaching and in studying the operation of the major European
Tour. Upon his return from completing his contract in Europe,
Ian resumed Teaching in Perth and subsequently took up his appointment
as Head Professional at the Mount Isa Golf Club where he has
been located for the past two years.
Ian is married to Remy and they have a two-year-old daughter
Jessie.
