The Club House is available
for hire for functions of a wide variety.
The grounds are an idyllic setting for weddings,
several of which have witnessed the numerous
locations as places of exchanges of wedding
vows. Couples have chosen to set up
marquees on the expansive and very decorative
gardens of the first tee. Others have gotten
married on the ninth hole tee
under the wide-reaching gums surrounded by colourful
Bougainvillea.
Photographers are often seen taking the wedding
parties to various locations to use the bushland background,
which
contrasts beautifully with the tediously
manicured greens and fairways.
There is no cost involved in hiring the club
house for functions, except for a modest deposit
that is returned upon satisfactory
inspection of the premises following the event.
The well-stocked bar features
a wide range of beer, wines and spirits and can add any special liquor requests for the special
days.
The kitchen is fully functional with bain-marie servery for
hot foods, along with the grills and deep fryers. Refrigerators,
freezers and a massive walk-in cold room will be ample for all
needs for the functions.
Birthdays and twenty-firsts, plus regular birthday and retirement

Each year the club holds its annual Golf Club Ball in the month
of May. The first tee area serves as the introduction area with
all liquor tastes catered for and including the famous club punch
which is certain to make the start of the event memorable.
At the City of Mount Isa Open
Championships in July, the club hosts sportsmen’s nights,
sponsor nights and the finale with the kitchen
operational all week and the bar sporting a
very convivial attitude that attracts hundreds
to its venue.
Several other special event functions for corporate
days where teams are formed by invitation of various companies
and organisations
that play either nine or eighteen holes and then use the club
house as a watering hole and/or restaurant. The club ensures
that sufficient bar staff are on hand to avoid the situation
where guest are kept waiting for service.
